A holy Journey to the house of Allah

The devoted tasbeeh to Allah (subhana taala)

“لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ – Here I am (at your service from my heart and soul), O my Allah, here I am (at your service from my heart and soul)”

Umrah is a spiritual journey to the holy city of Makkah.

It is not a fardh (obligatory) like Hajj, but it brings huge rewards.

Every Muslim dreams of visiting the House of Allah – Kaaba.

What is Umrah?

Umrah means to visit the Sacred Mosque and perform special rituals, for the sake of Allah (subhana taala) to pleas Him and get His mercy.

It is a short pilgrimage, full of peace, prayer, and forgiveness.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) performed Umrah many times.

> “وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ”

“And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:196)

Why is Umrah So Special?

Umrah cleans your sins.

It refreshes your faith.

It connects your heart to Allah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

> “العمرة إلى العمرة كفارة لما بينهما”

“Umrah to Umrah is forgiveness for what is between them.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Main Rituals of Umrah:

1. Ihram – The Dress of Unity

Men wear two white sheets. Women wear modest dress.

It is started from Miqat, like Masjid Dhul Hulayfah if you’re coming from the sacred city Madinah.

Say:

“لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ عُمْرَةً” – “O Allah (subhana taala), I willed to perform Umrah.”

2. Tawaf – Circling the Kaaba

Walk 7 times around the Kaaba.

Start from the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad).

Say prayers, make du’a, cry, and feel the mercy of Allah.
